Frequently Asked Questions
Do you only work with clients in Chicago?
No. While I am based in Chicago, I represent both employers and employees nationwide. Most of my work is done virtually, making it easy to serve clients anywhere in the U.S.
What types of clients do you represent?
I work with both employers (founders, HR teams, and in-house counsel) and employees (professionals at all levels navigating workplace transitions, disputes, or agreements).
Can you help if I just need advice, not a lawsuit?
Yes. Much of my practice is preventive counseling—helping employers avoid risk and guiding employees through exits, negotiations, and contract reviews. Litigation is only one part of employment law.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
Yes. I meet with clients by phone or video conference to make the process simple, wherever you’re located.
What kinds of issues do you help employers with?
I provide guidance on policies, compliance, HR investigations, workplace disputes, employee handbooks, and risk prevention strategies.
What kinds of issues do you help employees with?
I represent employees in severance negotiations, exit counseling, contract reviews, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination matters.
How do I know if I need an employment lawyer?
If you’re facing a workplace issue that impacts your people, your business, or your career, it’s worth getting legal guidance. A brief consultation can help you understand your options and next steps.
